About

Fareham Clay Target Club — a clay shooting range located on 38 acres in Wickham (Hampshire, England), near Fareham. The club was established in 1929 as a hunting ground; since 1963, it has been cooperatively owned by members and is affiliated with the CPSA (Clay Pigeon Shooting Association).

The range offers several disciplines of clay shooting: ABT, DTL (Down-The-Line), English Skeet, Skeet Doubles, single shot, and sporting. The sporting layout features 14 stands; series are conducted over 100 targets. Competitions in ABT, DTL, and skeet are registered CPSA events and are open only to CPSA members and accredited guests. Sporting is open to all, including non-members. All visits require prior booking — the club operates 2–3 days a month.

In addition to clay disciplines, the range has facilities for air rifle and air pistol shooting. For beginners and those wanting to try shooting for the first time, there are Have a Go stands and individual lessons with an instructor. Ammunition can be purchased on-site with a shotgun license. The range features a kitchen offering full hot meals, rated 5/5 by the Winchester City Council's food hygiene department.

The club caters to both experienced clay shooters preparing for CPSA competitions and those taking their first steps in clay shooting — provided prior arrangements are made through the appropriate coordinators.
