E.J. Churchill Group Ltd
About
E.J. Churchill is a shooting range for clay target shooting located at the West Wycombe estate in Buckinghamshire, England, approximately 50 km from London. The range is set in 40 acres of woodland and is one of the largest and most renowned clay shooting venues in the UK.
The range offers six disciplines of clay shooting: sporting, compact sporting, skeet, Olympic skeet, DTL, and ABT, as well as sport trap. The total number of stands exceeds 120, including three high towers, traditional stone butts for simulating partridge, and a six-position flurry line. There are around 300 Promatic traps integrated with the Claymate system, allowing experienced shooters with a valid license to navigate the course independently without a caddy. The range hosted the FITASC World Championship in sporting (2019) and the CPSA World Championship in English Sporting.
Air Rifle shooting is also available on-site. Programs for beginners and youth include Young Guns (from age 9) and Ladies Mornings. Experienced shooters can book a caddy to accompany them on the course, keep score, and service the traps. Instructors offer individual lessons for any skill level — from the first shot to pre-competition practice. The facility features a terrace with a café and bar, a pro shop, and parking. The range hosts corporate events and CPSA Premier Plus level competitions. Thursday is late night (until 20:30), and Sunday is a day off for shooting.
