Coyote Valley Sporting Clays

Coyote Valley Sporting Clays — a shooting range for clay target shooting in Morgan Hill, California, located in the picturesque hills of the Santa Clara Valley. The facility has been operating since 1992 and is open to everyone — from those holding a shotgun for the first time to experienced clay shooters.

The main discipline is sporting: the main course consists of 20 stations set in a natural landscape with woods and ponds. At each station, machines simulate various types of target flight — from a rising pheasant to a flying duck coming towards you. Targets are presented singly, in pairs simultaneously, in pairs sequentially, and as report pairs. In addition to sporting, the range offers two skeet fields — equipped with a 3-second delay launch feature for self-training without a puller — as well as a trap field with adjustable horizontal and vertical oscillation of the machine. The five-stand operates primarily for training sessions and warm-ups before group events. A ZZ-Bird package (heli) is also available.

The range has a pro shop with a wide selection of shotguns and other firearms, shotgun rentals, ammunition, and hearing and eye protection. Private and group instructors are available; introductory packages with an instructor and rental shotgun are provided for beginners. There is a barbecue area and café on-site. The range hosts corporate events and group outings with catering options.

Operating hours: Wednesday–Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Saturday–Sunday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Monday and Tuesday are closed. The sporting course operates without prior reservation for experienced shooters.
