About

The Zangtal shooting range is located in Voitsberg (Styria, Austria) on the site of a former coal mine covering 35 hectares. The facility is aimed at hunters, sport shooters, and recreational shooters, offering a wide range of disciplines in clay target shooting.

Among the shotgun disciplines are trap, skeet, sporting, and hunting sporting with six types of targets (rabbit, duck, pheasant, looper, two crossers), as well as "water sporting" — a series over a pond. For beginners, there are two training areas with reduced difficulty, where only subsonic ammunition is allowed. Overall, the range has 7 stands for shotgun shooting.

For rifle shooting, there are 12 positions at 100 m and 2 positions at 50 m (mainly for small-caliber firearms and open-sighted guns), as well as a moving target "boar" at 50 m. The pistol section includes 10 positions.

The range features the Kettner shop with its own gunsmith workshop, a café, and a training-seminar building. Shotgun rentals and instructor services are available. There is ample parking, including for people with disabilities, as well as ramp access. The shooting range is suitable for both first-time experiences in clay target shooting and systematic training before hunting exams or competitions.
