About

WTS Freiburg e.V. — a shooting range in Hartheim (Baden-Württemberg, Germany), located near the Hartheim/Heitersheim exit of the A5 motorway. The club was founded in 1968, and its own shooting facility has been operational since 1973 on an area of 8.5 hectares.

Clay target shooting is the club's main focus. Two fields are equipped for trap shooting. Renovation and modernization of the trap fields were completed in 2012 after several years of planning and implementation; in 2016–2017, the roofs and shooting positions of both trap fields were completely updated. Skeet is also included in the list of disciplines. All series on the trap fields are shot with lead shot. The club regularly hosts competitions: an annual spring tour with 100 targets (trap, categories A/B/C) and a Grand Prix with 200 targets over two days.

In addition to clay target shooting, the range features: a facility for rifle disciplines — pistol (up to 25 m) and rifle (50 and 100 m), as well as running boar shooting (Laufender Keiler). The archery range with lanes up to 90 m opened in 1995–96, and in 2001, an indoor hall for archery was built for the winter season.

For beginners, weapon rental and qualified instruction are available in all disciplines, including clay target shooting, archery, pistol, and rifle. The range is suitable for both those making their first shot and experienced clay shooters preparing for regional and national competitions.
