About

Waikato Clay Target Club (WCTC) — a shooting range for clay target shooting, located 5 kilometers from Hamilton at 556 Holland Road, Eureka, Waikato region, New Zealand. It is one of two official national venues for competitions in the country, covering all disciplines of clay target shooting and serving as a base for national training in shotgun shooting.

The infrastructure of the range includes 12 DTL stands, 5 skeet fields, 3 ABT fields, 1 trap field, and 1 Olympic skeet field. For sporting, several automated zones equipped with Promatic machines allow for various courses for both training and competitions. The club also hosts FITASC sporting competitions — notably, the Grand Prix of New Zealand – Sporting took place here in 2026.

Monthly competitions are held for DTL, skeet, trap, and sporting. The range features a licensed bar, cafeteria, ammunition sales, gun storage, as well as spaces for campers, caravans, and tents for visitors during competitions. Training is available upon request. The club actively engages youth: there is a junior training program and annual scholarships for students.

WCTC is suitable for both beginners making their first shots and experienced clay shooters preparing for national and international competitions — including the New Zealand championships for DTL and skeet.
