Tiro las Palmas
About
The Tiro las Palmas shooting range is located at the Las Palmas Air Base in Lima, Peru, and is the country's premier shooting facility. The range was built for the 2019 Pan American Games and has since regularly hosted top-level competitions.
Confirmed disciplines include trap and skeet in the format of clay target shooting, as well as rifle and pistol competitions. Notably, the facility has hosted finals for Olympic trap (women), 10-meter air pistol and rifle (men and women), 50-meter rifle in three positions, 25-meter standard pistol, and rapid-fire pistol. The range meets ISSF and ISSF Para Sport requirements.
The facility hosted the 2019 Pan American Games, the ISSF Junior World Championship 2021, the 2021 World Cup in Paralympic Shooting, the XIII Confederation of Americas Championship 2022, and the 2023 World Championship in Paralympic Shooting — the first in the Americas. The Las Palmas Air Base is under the jurisdiction of the Peruvian Air Force.
The shooting range is suitable for training athletes for international competitions as well as for holding official Olympic-level qualifying tournaments.
