Tiro a Volo Montecatini is one of the most renowned shooting ranges for clay target shooting in Tuscany and Italy as a whole, located in Pieve a Nievole (Province of Pistoia). Founded in the mid-20th century, it brings together over 300 members and has a long-standing tradition of training athletes who have competed in the Olympic Games and World Championships.
The range offers a full spectrum of Olympic and non-Olympic disciplines of clay target shooting. There are 6 fields for Olympic Trap, 4 fields for Skeet, a separate field for Double Trap, one for American Trap (ABT), two fields for Sporting Clays, and one for Compact Sporting. This setup allows for competitions to be held simultaneously in several disciplines and to host national and international tournaments, including the Italian Championships for juniors and adults.
The range features an International Shooting School with federal instructors of high caliber, making it accessible for both beginners and athletes preparing for competitions. The maintenance of the machines and traps is carried out on a regular basis, ensuring stable quality in target launching.
