Tiro a Volo Bottaccia
About
Tiro a Volo Bottaccia — a shooting range for clay target shooting, located in Castel di Guido (Rome, Lazio, Italy). The association was founded in 1966, affiliated with FITAV since 1967, and registered in the CONI registry. Since 1980, the range has been managed by Giardini Celso — an Olympic champion in skeet and multiple world champion, recognized as the best coach of 2008 by FITAV.
The range offers four skeet fields and two compact sporting fields. There is also an Olympic trap field, where shooters encounter various angles, speeds, and heights of clay targets. Skeet is the most popular discipline among club members. The range regularly hosts official FITAV competitions, including national team gatherings for skeet.
On-site, there is a Shooting School (Scuola di Tiro), recognized by the Lazio Regional Committee of FITAV as a Center for Sports Engagement. Federal instructors conduct individual and group lessons — for both beginners and experienced shooters. Shooting without an instructor is also permitted. There is a bar-restaurant and gunsmith on-site. The range is set among greenery just a few kilometers from the center of Rome, making it convenient for regular training and preparation for competitions of any level.
