The Isle of Man Clay Pigeon Shooting Club
About
Isle of Man Clay Pigeon Shooting Club (IOMCPSC) — a shooting range for clay target shooting located on the Meary Veg site in Santon, approximately 5 miles from Douglas and 3 miles from the Isle of Man Airport. The club has its roots in the early 1970s and was officially opened at its current location in 2005.
The range offers a wide variety of clay target shooting disciplines. For skeet, there are 2 layouts available for English skeet and Olympic skeet competitions. For trap, there are 2 DTL layouts and 1 ABT layout. Additionally, various layouts for sporting and pro-sporting are available. Among the competition result tags, FITASC, Manx Skeet, NSSA Skeet, Olympic Trap, and Sport Trap are also featured, indicating regular hosting of relevant events. All shooting positions are connected by concrete pathways.
The infrastructure includes a ranch-style clubhouse with men's and women's restrooms, a kitchen, and a lounge area. During competitions, hot meals are usually prepared, and hot beverages are always available. The club provides shotgun rentals and protective gear for beginners. Private bookings for groups and corporate events are available, as well as gift certificates.
The range is suitable for both beginners making their first shot under the supervision of a committee member and experienced shooters preparing for competitions of various levels, including the Island Games.
