Střelnice Mělník | home of the Claybusters
About
Střelnice Mělník — also known as home of the Claybusters — is located in the village of Chloumek, three kilometers from the town of Mělník in the Central Bohemia region, approximately a 45-minute drive from the center of Prague. The shooting range occupies 11 hectares, of which 6 ha are open areas, and the rest is adjacent mixed forest.
The range specializes exclusively in clay target shooting and offers four layouts: skeet, universal trap, compact sporting, and hunting parcours. The skeet layout is equipped with PROMATIC SIGNATURE SKEET machines — among the most accurate in their class, providing stable trajectories for the targets. The sporting and compact sporting layouts are equipped with Promatic Falcon, Peregrine, and Chondel machines, as well as Super Sporter; various types of targets are used — standard 110 mm, midi 70 mm, mini 60 mm, battue, and rabbit. The trap layouts have microphones for voice calling of the targets.
The range is open to visitors both with and without a firearms permit. For beginners, package programs are available with rental shotguns from the Browning series 425 and 525, ammunition, and protective gear under the supervision of certified instructors. Layouts can be booked by phone or email. There are two parking lots for cars (a total of about 65 spaces) and a separate area for buses. A clubhouse is available on the premises. The range is suitable for both first-time experiences with clay target shooting and preparation for competitions.
