Strelnica Zilizi
About
The Zilizi Shooting Range is an open stand shooting facility for shotgun shooting at clay targets, located near the village of Tešedíkovo in the Šaľa district of Slovakia. Established in 1998 by enthusiasts, it has hosted both training series and public competitions featuring shooters from across the region since its inception. In 2001, it hosted the Slovak Republic Championship in the Trap discipline.
The range specializes in trap disciplines: Universal Trap, Double Trap, Mini Trap, and Sporting. The facility is equipped with fully automatic Olympic Trap machines manufactured by Mattarelli, installed in a concrete bunker. The distance between the machine battery and the shooting positions is 15 m. The shooting positions are covered by a canopy measuring 15 × 6.5 m, providing protection from sun and rain. The clay target throws are controlled by an automatic voice system, Multi-Pull EP095M by Elettronica Progetti; the microphones are equipped with LED indicators for the active position. Series results are displayed in real-time on an electronic monitor. The main shooting direction is oriented towards the north-northwest for optimal visibility of the targets throughout the day.
The range serves as the base for the ZILIZI Sporting Shooting Club, registered with the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic. The club brings together members interested in stand shooting and pays special attention to the development of young shooters. Training sessions are conducted by prior arrangement. The range is suitable for both beginners taking their first steps in stand shooting and experienced shooters preparing for competitions.
