SSG haulikkorata – Sibbo Skyttegille rf
About
SSG haulikkorata — the shooting range of the Sibbo Skyttegille rf club — is located in the city of Sipoo (Finland), approximately 30 km east of Helsinki. The total area of the shooting range exceeds 60 hectares, making it one of the largest facilities for clay target shooting in the country. The venue is suitable for both beginners and experienced shooters preparing for competitions.
Clay target shooting is the main focus of the facility. It includes 5 skeet fields, 2 Olympic trap fields, 5 trap fields, 1 easy trap field, and 2 Compak Sporting fields. The sporting field is currently not operational. Only lead shot cartridges with a maximum load of 28 g are allowed on the compact fields (numbers 7–9). The shooting range regularly hosts official competitions, including the Finlandia Open Compak and the championship of the Svenska Finlands Sportskytteförbund in trap.
In addition to clay target shooting, the facility features ranges for practical shooting (IPSC), moving target shooting (riestamaali, 50 m), silhouette shooting (pistol 200 m, rifle 500 m), benchrest (100 and 200 m), biathlon, as well as muzzle-loading shooting. During the operation of the shooting range, a self-service coffee corner is available in the haulikko pavilion. Instructors are present at the shooting range.
