About

Sport- und Jagdschützenverein Zwettl — one of the oldest shooting clubs in Austria, located in the city of Zwettl (Lower Austria, Waldviertel region). The shooting range is situated at Kleinotten and offers a wide range of disciplines in trap, skeet, sporting clays, and rifle shooting.

In the clay target shooting section, there are: 1 ABT station with distances of 11 and 15 meters; 2 universal trap fields with 5 machines each, distances of 11 and 15 meters; 2 Olympic trap fields with 15 machines each, distances of 11 and 15 meters; 1 compact sporting clays field with 10 machines; 2 skeet fields. The range regularly hosts competitions of the highest level — including the Austrian Championships and State Championships in Universal Trap and Olympic Trap.

For rifle disciplines, there are 6 positions at 100 meters with target retrieval systems, 5 positions at 50 meters, and 1 position for moving target boar at 50 meters. For pistol disciplines — 15 Falling Plate positions at 10 and 25 meters. The indoor range is equipped with 6 positions for air rifles at 10 meters with target retrieval systems. The club has active sections for IPSC and Cowboy Action Shooting, as well as a muzzle-loading section (Vorderlader), which has repeatedly won awards at the Austrian and European Championships. The sanitary facilities at the range have been updated and are accessible for people with disabilities. The shooting range is suitable for both beginners and shooters preparing for competitions.
