Skotsvæði Skotfélags Reykjavíkur Álfsnesi

Skotsvæði Skotfélags Reykjavíkur (Shooting Club of Reykjavík) is a clay target shooting range located on the Álfsnes peninsula on the northwestern outskirts of the Icelandic capital. The club was founded on June 2, 1867 — making it the oldest sporting organization in Iceland. The current facility opened in 2008, built and funded by the Reykjavík City Council.

The facility features four skeet fields constructed according to ISSF rules, as well as six trap houses for clay target machines. In addition to skeet, the club practices Nordic Trap shooting. The range hosts international competitions, including an upcoming international women's skeet tournament. The club actively prepares athletes for competitions at all levels — from beginners to participants in the Icelandic championships.

There is also an indoor rifle range (riffilskýli) with sound-absorbing surfaces, where rifle training takes place. The range is used to prepare future hunters for reindeer hunting, as well as for training shoots for candidates seeking a police firearm permit.

The club has around 1,800 members but is open to anyone wishing to practice, regardless of membership. The club supports coaching education programs through the Icelandic Federation (ÍSÍ) and the ISSF Academy. The matter of the current operational permit is under review by the Reykjavík city authorities.
