About

The Veiðifelagið Byrsumúli shooting range is located in Sandvík near Tórshavn in the Faroe Islands and serves as the main venue for clay target shooting in the country. The club was founded in 1980, and since 2021, the range has undergone extensive renovation and expansion.

For clay shooters, there are two skeet fields and one combined field for Olympic trap and ABT. This is where the most important competitions in the Faroe Islands take place: the Faroe Cup, Grand Prix, Simme Cup, F80, and the Tórshavn Open. The range has also been selected as the official venue for clay target shooting at the Island Games in 2027.

The facility is situated in a natural amphitheater among cliffs, green meadows, and offers a panoramic view of the open ocean. There is a new clubhouse built specifically for the needs of shooting sports.

The range is suitable for both experienced clay shooters preparing for international competitions under ISSF rules and for those who are just starting to get acquainted with trap and skeet shooting in the Faroe Islands.
