About
Skepplanda Sportskyttar — a shooting club for clay target shooting, located at the Skepplanda Skyttecenter near Högsjömosse in the Risveden forests, close to Skepplanda (Västra Götaland, Sweden). The club unites around 250 members and offers a wide range of disciplines in clay target shooting for both beginners and experienced shooters.
The range features facilities for Olympic trap (5 shooting stations, 15 machines in a row, 9 throwing programs), Nordic trap, Olympic skeet, and national skeet (8 stations in a semicircle, with a "tower" and "box"). Additionally, the club offers compact sporting, English sporting, and FITASC sporting. There is also a moose track (älgbana) and a range for shooting at hunting targets (viltmålsbana).
The club regularly hosts competitions of various levels, including the Sweden Grand Prix for Olympic trap, qualifications for the Swedish Championship, and club championships. Among the members are champions of Sweden in various disciplines. Separate training sessions with an instructor are organized for beginners and youth. On duty days (jour), the facilities are open for free practice with a responsible person on site. The club is active on Facebook and publishes competition results and news on its official website.
