Shooting Club of Pyrgetos "Orion"
About
The Pyrgetos Shooting Range is located at the foot of the eastern Olympus, near the Tempi Valley, in the Larissa region of Greece. The "Orion" club operates on the basis of the "Orion 2011" shooting range and is aimed at both experienced clay shooters and those just beginning their journey into clay shooting.
Clay shooting is the main focus of the range: there are four shooting stands for clays: two compact sporting stands, one Olympic skeet, and FITASC. The range has hosted national competitions in FITASC compact sporting, utilizing the Phonopull system for electronic clay launching. The club's official website also features separate sections for FITASC and ISSF skeet, confirming the hosting of international-level competitions.
In addition to clay shooting, the facility includes an indoor heated range with two positions for air pistol and air rifle shooting at 25 m, as well as a stand for IPSC practical shooting. For archery enthusiasts, there is a dedicated area with bows of various sizes and an instructor.
The infrastructure of the shooting range includes a café-restaurant, a swimming pool, an equestrian area, cycling trails, a children's playground, and a farm with animals — making it suitable for family recreation. The shooting range is suitable for preparation for competitions of any level — from the first series on compact to performances at national championships.
