About
Shooting Center — a shooting range for clay target shooting located within the Casa de Campo resort in La Romana, Dominican Republic. The range spans 245 acres of tropical landscape and features over 200 stations for trap, skeet, and sporting clays, as well as rings for live pigeon shooting.
The trap has 5 stations where targets fly away from the shooter. The skeet features 8 positions with targets being thrown from low and high towers that cross in front of the shooter. The sporting section encompasses over 200 different stations, each simulating the movement of game: quail, pheasant, duck, rabbit, or partridge. The centerpiece of the sporting field is a 110-foot tower, one of the tallest in the world for target throwing. The five-stand is designed by Purdey and combines elements of skeet and sporting clays across five positions. The target flights change daily, ensuring variety even for regular visitors.
For experienced shooters, driven hunts for pheasant, quail, and duck are available, as well as pigeon shooting in two rings. Outings are conducted in the Rancho Peligro reserve outside the resort.
Gun rentals and hearing protection are provided free of charge. A team of instructors offers lessons for beginners and experienced shooters — from basic safety courses to individual training. Nearby is the Safari Club with a bar and shooting shop. Additionally, there is a 10-station field archery course with life-sized targets on the shooting range.
