About

Schietbaan De Wildenberg — a shooting range for clay target shooting in Weert (Limburg province, Netherlands), operating since 1964. Since 2008, the facility has been managed by the Meijlanddeijk family. The range positions itself as the largest clay target shooting venue in the Netherlands, welcoming both experienced shooters and hunters as well as newcomers.

Clay target shooting is the main focus: the range features two skeet fields, two trap fields, as well as Ball-Trap, sporting, and a hunting park course. In total, over 250 machines from the manufacturer Promatic are installed across 13 stations. All stations are equipped with the ClayMate system from Promatic, allowing shooters with their own firearms and permits to operate independently without an instructor at any time during operating hours.

For those shooting for the first time or looking to improve their technique, individual lessons with an instructor are available. Gun rentals and ammunition are provided as part of organized activities. In addition to clay target disciplines, the range has an indoor shooting range of 50 meters for pistols and rifles. There is a café with a terrace, ample parking, and the possibility of hosting corporate events for groups of up to 50 people. Two associations operate at the range: the Dutch SV de Wildenberg and the Belgian Flanders Clay Shooting, which is part of the Vlaamse Schietsport Koepel.

The range is suitable for both first-time experiences with clay target shooting and for regular training and preparation for competitions.
