Schießstätte Pakein
About
The Pakein Shooting Range is located in the village of Pakein (Carinthia, Austria) and is owned by the Hunting and Shooting Association "St. Hubert" (Jagdschützenverein St. Hubertus). The facility is open to both novice and experienced shooters.
The range primarily focuses on clay target shooting. There are two fields for hunting sporting: the first is equipped with 9 traps, and the second with 15 traps of various types (standard, rabbit, teal, looper, tower). Both fields are fully covered. Additionally, there is a separate stand for the "running hare" at a distance of 35 m. The shooting range regularly hosts competitions at the state championship level, including LM in compact sporting (LM CPS) and LM in hunting sporting (LM CGS), confirming that the fields meet competitive requirements.
For rifle shooting, there are six positions at 100 m and one at 50 m — all under a roof. This part of the range is primarily aimed at hunters who are checking and sighting in their hunting firearms.
On the premises, there is a clubhouse where shooters can socialize after series. The facility is suitable for both first-time experiences with clay target shooting and preparation for competitions in hunting sporting and compact sporting.
