About

The Westerbeck Shooting Range in Zassenburg (Lower Saxony, Germany) is owned by the hunting organization Jägerschaft Gifhorn e.V. and serves as a base for training and competitions in clay target shooting and hunting shooting sports. The facility is designed for both experienced shooters and beginners who are just mastering smoothbore firearms.

The range features one trap field and one skeet field for clay target disciplines. It regularly hosts local competitions in hunting shooting, where trap and skeet are part of the mandatory program alongside rifle disciplines. Flinten seminars are also conducted separately for trap and skeet.

In addition to the clay target fields, the complex includes a rifle range with four lanes of 100 m, one lane of 50 m, and a "laufender Keiler" (moving boar target), as well as a pistol range with four lanes of 25 m and a falling target. The shooting range offers gastronomy and video surveillance. Reservations can be made through the online scheduling system on the organization's website.

The shooting range is suitable for obtaining the mandatory hunting qualification shooting certificate, preparing for local and district championships, as well as for taking the first steps in clay target shooting under the guidance of instructors.
