About
Säve Skyttecenter — a shooting range located in Hisingen, Göteborg, Sweden, at Nya Gärdets väg 101. The facility is primarily focused on clay target shooting and hunting training, suitable for both beginners and experienced shooters.
The range offers several stands for clay target shooting: Olympic trap, Nordic trap, skeet, compact sporting, as well as sporting — a discipline that is regularly conducted in open training sessions. In addition to classic disciplines, there are dedicated training areas with mobile machines for practicing various target trajectories, including variable trap and a hare stand. Annually, approximately 4,700 series of 25 targets are shot at the range.
For rifle shooting, there are acoustic ranges: a spark stand at 100 m and an elk range at 80 m. The range also hosts the "Björnpasset" — a hunting assessment involving shooting at a bear figure at distances of 40 and 80 m. Ammunition for both smoothbore and rifled firearms is available on-site. There is video surveillance. Instructors are available for training, and courses for beginners and youth programs are conducted. An annual club championship in smoothbore and rifle disciplines takes place. The range is suitable for preparation for the hunting exam (jägarexamen) and for regular training before the hunting season.
