Sarasota Trap, Skeet & Sporting Clays, Inc. is a non-profit club with 501(c)(4) status, located in Knight Trail Park in Nokomis, Florida, approximately an hour's drive south of downtown Sarasota. The range is open to both club members and the general public, operating in partnership with Sarasota County Government Parks and Recreation.
Trap shooting is the club's primary focus. Facilities for shooters include 4 trap fields, 3 skeet fields, a wobble trap, five-stand, and 4 sporting courses with a total of 52 stations. Additionally, the club offers FITASC. This range of disciplines caters to the needs of both beginners and experienced shooters preparing for competitions.
The infrastructure includes a pro shop, shotgun rentals, and golf carts, as well as a clubhouse. Experienced instructors are available for individual lessons. The club serves as a venue for the Scholastic Clay Target Program aimed at engaging youth in shooting sports. Regular competitions and themed shooting events are held.
The range is suitable for first-time shooters and also provides conditions for serious training ahead of tournaments. Operating hours are seasonal, so it is advisable to check the schedule before visiting.
