岡山県クレー射撃場
About
The Okayama Prefectural Clay Shooting Range is located in the Kita-ku area of Okayama City (Okayama Prefecture, Japan) at 629 Mitsu Shimoda. The total area of the facility is 14.2 hectares, of which 6.6 hectares are dedicated to shooting fields. The range is suitable for both experienced clay shooters and those just beginning to familiarize themselves with the discipline.
The range features two trap fields and two skeet fields — a total of four fields. All machines are fully automatic, produced by Nasta: targets are released by voice command from the shooter in accordance with ISSF rules. The electronic scoring system allows tracking scores in real-time directly from the management building — eliminating the need for a separate puller room.
The management building, covering approximately 280 m², includes a visitor reception area, a dining area (operating on official competition days), and ammunition sales. Parking is available for approximately 150 vehicles. The range designates Monday as a day off and is also closed at the end and beginning of the year (December 29 - January 4).
The range serves as the base for the Okayama Association of Clay Shooting, which organizes official competitions, judges' training, and promotes clay shooting in the prefecture. It can be reached in 20 minutes from the Okayama interchange on the Sanyo Expressway, 15 minutes from Okayama Airport, or 35 minutes from JR Okayama Station.
