About

Pikes Peak Gun Club (Izaak Walton League, Chapter 34) is one of the largest multi-discipline shooting ranges in Colorado, located in Colorado Springs. Founded in 1929, it spans 147 acres and is open for clay target shooting to both club members and the general public.

Clay target shooting is the primary focus of the range. The five-stand is equipped with 14 stations, and there are 4 stations for skeet. A separate area is designated for international Olympic trap. Sporting is represented by an extensive walk-through course that includes both classic sporting and super sporting.

In addition to clay target shooting, the club offers 5 standard and 8 special rifle and pistol ranges (distances of 100 and 200 yards), as well as a modern archery and axe throwing range. Access to the ranges for firearms with rifled barrels and pistols is restricted: only for club members or in the presence of a certified RSO.

The infrastructure includes 85 RV-connected camping spots, a fully equipped kitchen, and a conference room. The range is accessible for individuals with disabilities. The club regularly hosts regional and national clay target shooting competitions, as well as training courses for all disciplines—from the first shot to preparation for official competitions.
