Photharam Shooting Range (สมาคมกีฬายิงปืนและยิงเป้าบินโพธาราม)
About
Photharam Shooting Range — a shooting range for clay target shooting located in the sub-district of Kaochangoom, Photharam District, Ratchaburi Province, Thailand. The facility operates under the auspices of the Thailand Clay Target Shooting Association (Skeet and Trap) and is an official competition venue for ISSF and FITASC disciplines. The range covers an area of approximately one thousand rai and caters to both experienced athletes and those just beginning their journey into clay target shooting.
The range features four disciplines of clay target shooting: trap, skeet, sporting, and compact sporting. The sporting and compact sporting layouts are certified to FITASC standards and utilize the natural terrain of Ratchaburi Province — specifically elevated shooting platforms for challenging angled presentations of targets. All stands are covered to protect against sun and rain. An electronic scoring system, MultiPull, is used for result tallying.
The range regularly hosts major continental competitions, including the 5th and 6th Asian Championships in sporting and compact sporting. In December 2025, it hosted the clay target shooting events as part of the 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) — trap, skeet, sporting, and compact sporting, with six sets of medals awarded.
Training services encompass both individual lessons with instructors and multi-day training camps for groups and national teams. The training program is focused on competitive preparation: FITASC techniques, target recognition, and course navigation tactics. The association also provides official invitations and arranges temporary permits for the importation of firearms for foreign participants via Suvarnabhumi Airport.
