Oshawa Clay and Target Club
About
Oshawa Clay and Target Club — a clay target shooting range in the Durham region (Ontario, Canada), located at 5245 Wilson Rd N near Oshawa. Established in 1922, the club occupies approximately 90 acres of picturesque land and is the oldest active shooting club in the region. Membership is required: the range is open only to club members and their guests.
Trap shooting is the club's primary focus. There are 3 fields equipped for ABT. Skeet is represented by 5 fields. Sporting features 24 stations, 18 of which have 4 machines each. The five-stand is housed in a separate heated indoor facility — a convenient solution for shooting in cold weather.
In addition to clay target disciplines, the club offers a rifle range with stationary targets at distances of 50, 100, 200, and 300 yards, as well as a pistol range for bullseye shooting at 25 and 50 yards. Dynamic disciplines (IPSC, IDPA, PPC, Cowboy Action) are not permitted on the premises.
The infrastructure includes a clubhouse with a kitchen and restrooms. The club regularly hosts competitions in sporting and other clay target disciplines, including the annual Porchetta Sporting Clays tournament. The range is suitable for both experienced clay shooters preparing for registered competitions and those who are just beginning to explore clay target shooting.
