O Pinhal Shooting Grounds
About
The O Pinhal Shooting Club is located in the heart of the Algarve, in the area of Vales de Pêra, municipality of Silves, Portugal. Established in 1996, it is one of the largest shooting complexes in the country and hosts national and international competitions annually.
The range specializes in clay target shooting and offers six stands for trap shooting, set on a 20-hectare area. Available disciplines include Olympic Trap — 5 stands, Universal Trap — 6 stands, Compact Sporting — 4 stands, Hunting Course (Percurso Caça) — 4 stands, Skeet — 2 stands, and Helice (Tiro às Hélices) — 1 stand. In addition to the clay target disciplines, the complex features 12 ranges for pistol and rifle shooting.
The infrastructure includes a pro shop with a wide selection of firearms, ammunition, and accessories, a shooting school with experienced instructors, a restaurant/bar in a traditional family style, and a hotel building with six spacious suites offering panoramic views of the baroque and the sea. Parking is available for 1,500 vehicles.
The complex is suitable for both beginners making their first shots under the guidance of an instructor and experienced shooters preparing for competitions in trap, skeet, or compact sporting.
