Olympic Shooting Complex "Nicosia"
About
The Nicosia Olympic Shooting Complex 'Lakis Psymolofitis' is an Olympic-standard shooting range in Cyprus, located in Latsia just 10 km from the center of Nicosia and easily accessible from the A1 motorway. Established in 1968 and relocated to its current site in 1989, the complex is managed by the Nicosia Shooting Club, the founder of the Cyprus Shooting Federation. The range is fully approved by the ISSF, the European Shooting Confederation, and FITASC, and regularly hosts ISSF World Cup stages — including the 2025 World Cup in shotgun — as well as having held the ISSF World Championships in 1995, 2003, and 2007, the ISSF World Cup Final in 2000, and several European Championships. Only a few ranges in the region consistently host international competitions of the highest level. The range offers facilities for clay target shooting in several disciplines: 4 stands for trap and double trap, 4 stands for Olympic skeet, and 10 stands for FITASC Sporting and compak sporting, as well as indoor and outdoor 10-meter ranges for air rifle shooting. All trap stands are equipped with Nasta and Promatic machines and Phono-pull Progetti electronic systems. The fields are set against a calm, flat green backdrop with natural grass, providing shooters with clear, low-distraction visibility for tracking targets. On-site amenities include a café and restaurant, a shop, relaxation areas for shooters, secretariat offices, a medical center, parking, and internet access. The range is open year-round, daily except Mondays, welcoming competitive shooters, recreational visitors, and international training camps.
