Newman Clay Target Club

Newman Clay Target Club — a shooting range for clay target shooting, located on Gun Club Road in the city of Newman, Pilbara, Western Australia. The club caters to both experienced shooters and newcomers who are picking up a shotgun for the first time.

The range features two layouts for DTL discipline, one layout for skeet, and one five-stand sporting layout. There is also a tower layout that allows for practicing shooting at targets flying from above. Thus, the club offers four different formats of clay target shooting within a single range.

The club is an affiliated member of the Australian Clay Target Association (ACTA) and the Western Australian Clay Target Association (WACTA), enabling it to host registered competitions and participate in regional and state programs. Throughout the year, the club organizes series of competitions according to the annual calendar. For those just starting out, shotgun rentals are available. The club facilities have recently been upgraded with the support of the BHP Community Grants Program: lighting and security systems have been modernized.

The club is open to visitors and new members. Closed footwear is mandatory on the range. Newman Clay Target Club is suitable for both first-time experiences with clay target shooting and preparation for state-level competitions.
