Newcastle Lake Macquarie Clay Target Club

Newcastle Lake Macquarie Clay Target Club (NLMCTC) — a shooting range for clay target shooting, located in a picturesque forest area between Awaba and Toronto on the western side of Lake Macquarie, New South Wales, Australia. It is approximately a 30-minute drive from Newcastle and about 1 hour and 40 minutes from Sydney. The club is an affiliated member of the Australian Clay Target Association (ACTA) and conducts competitions under both ACTA and ISSF rules.

The range offers a wide variety of clay target shooting disciplines. For trap, there are 5 DTL layouts, 4 universal trap layouts, and 3 Olympic trap layouts. For skeet, there are 3 layouts that meet ISSF standards. Additionally, there are 2 five-stand layouts and 1 Field & Game layout. Competitions are held in AA, A, B, and C sections, as well as separately for women, veterans, and juniors. The club has hosted the New South Wales state championships and the Australian national championships, and it is also one of the training bases for Olympic teams and ISSF World Championship teams.

The club's infrastructure includes a large clubhouse, café, bar, a fenced and surfaced children's playground, and a camping area with both powered and non-powered sites with full sanitary facilities. There is an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) available. The club regularly holds introductory days for newcomers and corporate events for groups of 4 to 50 people.

The range is open every Wednesday and on the first and third Saturday of the month for training. NLMCTC is suitable for both those making their first shot and experienced shooters preparing for state or national level competitions.
