National Clay Shooting Centre (NCSC Bisley)
About
National Clay Shooting Centre (NCSC Bisley) — a shooting range for clay target shooting located within Bisley Camp in Surrey, England, approximately 30 miles from central London. The complex was built in 2002 specifically for hosting clay shooting competitions at the Commonwealth Games, and after renovations in 2020, it serves as the official training venue for the Great Britain national team. The range specializes in trap and skeet disciplines. Available are English skeet, Olympic skeet, Olympic trap, Down the Line (DTL), sport trap, Automatic Ball Trap (ABT), and Universal Trench. Sporting is available through the partner venue Bisley Shooting Ground — 30 English sporting stands available on request. There are three DTL layouts, four main layouts for Olympic and English skeet, as well as two training layouts for beginners. Over 90 Promatic machines are equipped with computer control, sequencer, and acoustic release (on all trap layouts). All shooting positions are covered with canopies. Competitions are held every Tuesday and Sunday; registered CPSA competitions, BICTSF qualifying shoots, and NCSC club competitions take place throughout the year. Booking a spot on the range can be done through the online system or by phone. Shooting lessons are available for all levels — from beginners to competitive shooters — daily from Tuesday to Sunday from 09:00 to 16:00. Corporate days and a Young Shots program for youth are also offered. The range features a café with a glass front and terrace overlooking the layouts (Tue–Sun, 08:30–15:00), as well as a pro shop. Parking is free. The range is closed on Mondays (except for most public holidays); during the summer season, evening shooting is available on Wednesdays until 19:30.
