About

Missoula Trap & Skeet Club — a shooting range for clay target shooting, located at 8700 U.S. Highway 10 West in Missoula, Montana, USA. It is the largest shooting facility in the state and one of the oldest clubs in the region — the first trap club in Missoula has been in existence since 1896. The club has over 500 members and operates as a non-profit organization 501(c)(7), also open to visitors without membership.

The range features four separate fields: ABT, Olympic Trap, Skeet, and Five-Stand. The Five-Stand field has eight machines with unpredictable angles of target release, making it the most challenging of the available disciplines. The club hosts leagues for Trap, Skeet, and Five-Stand in the fall, winter, and spring. Among the major registered competitions are the Jesse Geddes Memorial Skeet Shoot, the Jim Clawson Memorial International Trap Shoot, the U.S. Open Skeet Championship, and the Montana State Skeet Championship.

For beginners, shotgun rental and basic instruction are provided free of charge. The facility includes a clubhouse, vending machines for token purchases, and event space. The club caters to both first-time shooters and experienced clay target shooters preparing for registered competitions at the ATA, NSSA, and NSCA levels.
