About
Mid Carolina Gun Club — a private shooting club located in Orangeburg, South Carolina (USA), situated on a well-maintained 113-acre property in Calhoun County, approximately 2.5 miles from I-26. The club caters to both experienced shooters and beginners, including youth.
Trap shooting is represented by four ABT fields (all four are illuminated), five skeet fields (three with lighting), a sporting clays course, and a five-stand with wireless control for the machines and covered shooting positions. The trap fields are equipped with PAT machines featuring wobble trap functionality. All skeet and trap machines are equipped with voice release systems. The club is a member of the ATA (Amateur Trapshooting Association) and regularly hosts competitions: Big 50 trap, sporting clays, as well as NRA Highpower, ARA .22 Benchrest, and NRA Pistol.
In addition to the shotgun disciplines, there is a 300-yard rifle range and a 25-yard illuminated pistol range; rifle and pistol shooting is free for club members. Night shooting is available. The club features a fully equipped RV camping area (50 amp, water, sewer), meeting and event rooms. An active youth program 4H / SCTP is in place — the club's team is the SCTP champion of 2014 in several disciplines.
