About

Melbourne Gun Club — a shooting range for clay target shooting located in Yering, Yarra Valley, Victoria, Australia. The club is a member of the Australian Clay Target Association (ACTA) and welcomes shooters of all levels — from those holding a shotgun for the first time to participants in international competitions.

The range offers five disciplines of clay target shooting: DTL — a trap discipline with one machine throwing targets at a 44° angle; skeet — shooting at targets from two stations at different angles; universal trap — a FITASC discipline with five machines in a trench throwing targets according to 10 official layouts; Olympic trap — an Olympic discipline with 15 machines in a trench; and sporting — shooting at targets that simulate various game trajectories. The club also hosts competitions in Olympic skeet. The range has hosted international-level competitions, including the 1973 World Championship and the 2006 Commonwealth Games.

Facilities include a clubhouse, café with hot meals, bar (after shooting), shop, parking for cars and buses, and public restrooms. The club conducts regular "Come & Try" sessions led by experienced instructors, offers corporate and social events, and organizes competitions of various levels throughout the year.
