About
Loch Raven Skeet & Trap Center (LRSTC) — a shooting range for clay target shooting in Phoenix, Maryland, USA, located amidst the forests of the Loch Raven Reservoir watershed in Baltimore County. The facility has been continuously operating since 1956, is an affiliated member of NSSA, and is open to the general public.
The range offers four disciplines of clay target shooting: skeet, ABT, and five-stand. Skeet and ABT are available for practice and competition — LRSTC regularly hosts sanctioned NSSA shooting events, including zone championships. Wobble trap is a variant of trap with more unpredictable trajectories of the targets, making it interesting for experienced shooters. Five-stand is represented by two separate layouts with a total of 24 machines. The sequence of series and the arrangement of machines can be changed, providing varying levels of difficulty.
The field operates on a first-come, first-served basis; reservations are accepted only for groups of 15 or more. An introductory course for new shooters is available, as well as individual and group private lessons from instructors. For corporate and group events, there is a covered pavilion and picnic area, as well as equipment rental.
