About
Limestone Hunting Preserve & Sporting Clays — a shooting range for clay target shooting and hunting tourism, located in Ardmore, Alabama (USA), in the Tennessee Valley. The facility is designed for both beginners and experienced shooters.
The main sporting clays layout features 45 stations with various target configurations. Separately highlighted is Hunter's Clays — 15 stations with 2 machines each, simulating landscapes of waterfowl, forest, and open pasture; this layout is geared towards beginners and shooters with small caliber shotguns. The Five-stand consists of 5 stations and 7 machines. Super Sporting — another layout with 5 stations and 3 machines each, also suitable for small caliber. Duck Flurry — a fast-paced series with 5 stations and 6 machines (25 targets per shooter), designed for duck hunters. Skeet, International Skeet, FITASC, and Trap are available upon request.
The range has hosted Alabama State Championship level competitions (ASCA, 2003). Shotgun rentals, ammunition purchases, and instructor services are available. The facility also offers hunting tours — guided and self-guided — and is known for its hunting dogs.
