About

Las Gabias Shooting Centre — officially known as the Centre for Specialized Olympic Training in Shooting «Juan Carlos I» (CEAR Juan Carlos I) — is located in the municipality of Las Gabias near Granada, Spain. The shooting range is owned by the Royal Spanish Federation of Olympic Shooting and is managed by the Spanish Foundation for the Promotion of Olympic Shooting. Opened in 2005, it covers an area of 25 hectares and is one of the largest shooting facilities in the country.

Clay target shooting is represented by four disciplines: five fields for Olympic trap, four fields for skeet, and six fields for universal shooting (sporting/compact). This is where the Granada Shooting Club holds competitions in Olympic trap, and the range has repeatedly hosted international ISSF tournaments.

In addition to the clay target disciplines, the complex features indoor galleries: 10 m — 80 lanes (air guns), 25 m — 40 lanes, 50 m — 70 lanes, as well as a 300 m gallery with 30 lanes for sport rifles. Additionally, there is an archery range with 30 lanes and a final gallery with 15 lanes. On-site facilities include the «Juan Carlos I» hotel, a restaurant, a gunsmith, a conference room, auditoriums, a gym, a sauna, and free parking with spaces for people with disabilities. The shooting range is suitable for both training of competitive athletes and preparation for the highest level competitions.
