Lakeland Shooting Centre is a shooting range for clay target shooting located in Dalystown near Mullingar, County Westmeath, Ireland. Established in 1975, it serves as a training base for the Irish High Performance Olympic Shooting Squad and welcomes both beginners and experienced shooters. The range offers a wide variety of clay target shooting disciplines. For trap, there are two Olympic trap layouts, which also include Universal Trap, ABT (American Trap), and Double Trap. Six separate layouts are available for Down The Line (DTL). Compact sporting is represented by a setup with six machines. Skeet and sporting are also available at the range. All machines operate on voice activation and token payment system (€8.50 for a round of 25 clays in any discipline). Among the infrastructure advantages is a covered all-weather layout, allowing shooting regardless of weather conditions. The range is open six days a week. For beginners, lessons with a qualified instructor are available: the price includes clays, ammunition, shotgun rental, and hearing protection. Experienced shooters can practice independently with insurance or a club membership. On-site, there is a clubhouse where shooters can relax after shooting; food, ranging from light snacks to full meals, is available on request. A fully stocked pro shop with an on-site gunsmith is also available. Corporate days and group events can be organized with prior booking.
