About

Jacksonville Clay Target Sports — a shooting range for clay target shooting in Jacksonville, Florida, USA, operating since 1936 and one of the oldest clubs of its kind in the country. The facility spans over 80 acres and is open to everyone — from beginners to experienced shooters.

The range offers five disciplines of clay target shooting. Sporting is represented by two courses of 15 stations each: the North Course winds through a pine forest, while the South Course traverses sandy hills in a plantation style; both designed by architects Hayward Cunningham and Rick Hemingway. Each station is equipped with Promatic machines with individual cover. There are 10 ATA standard stations for ABT with Pat Trap machines and White Flyer targets; voice calls from Canteberry are used for registered competitions. Station #5 is designated for beginner training, while Station #7 is available for international skeet upon request. The skeet layout consists of 10 stations, five of which are illuminated; the club hosts registered NSSA competitions annually. There is also a five-stand layout.

The infrastructure includes shotgun and golf cart rentals, a gunsmith workshop, a pro shop, certified NSSA/NSCA instructors, as well as programs for youth (Jax Clay Target Busters), students (home club of the Jacksonville University team), and women (Shooting Stars). Every Wednesday, the club hosts dinners for members and guests. The range is suitable for both first-time shooters and for preparation for competitions at any level.
