The John Anthony Halter Shooting Sports Education Center at Hillsdale College is a 113-acre shooting complex located in Hillsdale, Michigan, just five miles from the college campus. The center features five international Olympic bunker trap fields, four skeet fields, eight American trap fields, a 23-station sporting clays course, and a dedicated five-stand area, making it one of the most comprehensive facilities for clay target shooting in the Midwest. The center also includes indoor and outdoor pistol and rifle ranges, an Ailes Action shooting range with pistol sections and a 100-yard rifle range, as well as a full-service international shooting facility. As an official training partner of USA Shooting, the Halter Center hosts national training camps and Olympic athlete development programs, attracting elite athletes from across the country. The AcuSport Grille restaurant offers full-service dining using local ingredients, open Tuesday through Saturday. Accommodations are available through four-person guest cottages on-site, and the AcuSport Lodge provides meeting and event space for corporate groups and special occasions. The center is open to the public from Wednesday to Saturday and offers safety fundamentals and shooting training for all ages and skill levels.
