About
Golden State Shooting Center — a shooting range for clay target shooting, located in Rio Oso, California, at 5393 Waltz Road. The range serves shooters from Sacramento and the Yuba-Sutter region and is suitable for both beginners and experienced athletes.
The range features eight five-stand fields, two skeet fields, an Olympic trap, and a sporting clays course. It is a member of the NSCA and other national clay target shooting associations.
The range serves as a base for 13 school trap teams, as well as for its own teams CYSSA and SCTP — Team Coon Creek, which provides coaching and competitive practice for young shooters aged 9 to 18. Certified instructors offer individual lessons for all levels — from the introductory "First Shots" course for those holding a shotgun for the first time to competition preparation. Shotgun and protective gear rentals are not provided: shooters come with their own equipment.
Corporate events, charity tournaments, and club leagues are also held here. The total area of the complex is approximately 80 acres.
