Fossil Pointe Sporting Grounds is a shooting range located in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area at 7282 North FM 51 in Decatur, Texas. Opened in 2008, this facility has gained a reputation for its shooting stands set on picturesque hills and in shaded oak groves. The complex features two 12-station sporting clays courses, a club course with 50 targets, specialized fields for trap and skeet shooting, a rifle and pistol range, as well as the only public long-range shooting range (up to 800 yards) within a two-hour drive. The pro shop specializes in firearms, ammunition, and shooting accessories. Private lessons with experienced instructors are available for shooters of all skill levels. Fossil Pointe is a popular choice for corporate events, charity fundraisers, team-building activities, weddings, and private parties, offering customized packages with professional event coordination. Membership options, including Legends and Elite Premium levels, provide exclusive benefits and priority access. The complex also hosts regular leagues and classes throughout the year.
