Fauxdegla Shooting Ground
About
Fauxdegla International Clay Shooting Centre is located near the village of Llandegla on the heather moors of North Wales (United Kingdom). The range holds a Premier Plus status from the Clay Pigeon Shooting Association (CPSA) — the highest accreditation level of the organization — and is officially recognized as an international center for clay shooting. The owner and head coach is Mike Fox, a British Universal Trench champion and member of the Great Britain shooting team. The range offers a full spectrum of clay shooting disciplines: 12 stands for sporting clays, a separate compact sporting area, a zone for sport trap, 8 DTL (Down The Line) stands, 4 skeet stands (national and Olympic), 4 ABT (Automatic Ball Trap / American Trap) stands, 4 Olympic trap stands, and 4 Universal Trench stands. All trap stands are covered, ensuring shooting in any weather. The trap, skeet, and DTL stands are wheelchair accessible. The entire system operates on a Promatic plug-and-play card system with voice activation at the trap positions and a Solo Delay function for solo practice. The range is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 17:00. Membership is not required — licensed shotgun owners can come without prior booking. Clay targets cost from £9 for 25 pieces, and cartridges from £7 for 25. Shotgun rental is available (subject to license availability). Qualified instructors conduct individual and group sessions for beginners and experienced shooters. The clubhouse with a café offers hot and cold dishes and beverages. The range regularly hosts CPSA-level competitions, British championships, and world championships, including the World ABT Championship.
