Fairfield County Fish & Game Protective Association

Fairfield County Fish & Game Protective Association — a private shooting range on over 200 acres in Monroe, Connecticut (USA). The club was founded in 1907 and today offers a wide range of clay target shooting disciplines and related sports for members and, partially, for the public.

Clay target shooting is the heart of the club. The sporting layout features up to 18 fully automated stations located in the woods along a 1.6 km groomed path. Targets are set to accommodate any level — from novice to experienced shooter. Additionally, there is a five-stand in operation. The club hosts 5–6 registered National Sporting Clays Association (NSCA) competitions each year, open to the public, as well as an autumn league. Trap and skeet are also featured at the range: winter leagues for skeet and trap are traditional events of the club season.

In addition to clay target shooting, the club has a rifle and pistol range with distances of 50 feet, 50 yards, and 100 yards. The archery range is equipped with targets from 20 to 50 yards, illuminated and electrified; during the summer, a public archery league is held here, along with 3D shooting competitions in collaboration with the Connecticut Archers Association.

The club is private with a closed waiting list. Members have access daily from 8:00 AM until dusk; public visits are possible during registered competitions and winter leagues. The range is suitable for both competition preparation for sporting or skeet and for first-time exposure to clay target shooting.
