Durbanville Shooting Club (Durbanville Skietklub) — a shooting range at Groot Phesantekraal farm near Durbanville in the Western Cape province of South Africa. Established in 1978, the club has grown to over 700 members, offering facilities for trap shooting and other disciplines for both beginners and experienced shooters.
In trap shooting, the club conducts training and competitions in sporting clays, trap, and skeet. The discipline head for trap is Johann Joubert, whose favorite discipline is sporting clays. The range also features a 500-meter rifle range and a pistol range, where shooting with air guns and gas pistols is permitted. Among the club members are enthusiasts of muzzle-loading firearms and long-range shooting.
Visitors without membership can access all three facilities for a daily fee. On-site, there is a licensed bar "Slagdoppie," where snacks and drinks can be purchased. The club is one of the first in South Africa to offer the Labradar chronograph for rent — prior booking through a WhatsApp group is required. Ammunition is not sold on the premises.
The club is suitable for both first-time experiences in trap shooting and preparation for competitions in sporting clays, trap, and skeet in the natural landscape of the Cape region.
