About
The Complexo de Tiro de Fervença is a shooting range located in Barcelos (Braga district, northern Portugal), situated on the grounds of the Quinta de Fervença estate in the parish of Gilmonde. The facility hosts clay target shooting competitions, including the regional championship of Northern Portugal, and is considered to have one of the best infrastructures in the country. The open fields for trap shooting are laid out on a flat horizontal area of 300×110 meters with black earth covering and vegetation; on the sides, the fields are bordered by spectator stands and an earthen embankment with two rows of trees.
In addition to trap shooting, the complex has extensive infrastructure for rifle disciplines. An indoor range at 10 meters (370 m²) is designated for air guns and is equipped with 24 positions featuring electromechanical target machines from Cambiablancos A. Peña. Stand 1 at 50 meters has 20 positions for ISSF rifle disciplines with covered and open sections. Stand 2 at 50 meters accommodates 30 shooters with small-caliber rifles or 36 with pistols simultaneously. The 25-meter stand is equipped with 24 positions for rapid-fire shooting. The 100-meter stand is designed for 30 shooters with Class C firearms. The dynamic shooting range includes 10 lanes for IPSC with loading and safety zones.
Supporting infrastructure includes restrooms, a gunsmith shop, changing rooms, arbitration and classification rooms, and storage for firearms and ammunition. The site also mentions tourist accommodation. The shooting range is suitable for both training and hosting regional and international competitions.
