Clay Target Center
About
Clay Target Center — a shooting range for trap shooting located at Fort Bragg, in Spring Lake, North Carolina, USA. The facility is operated by Army MWR and is open to all: both beginners and experienced trap shooters.
For skeet, there are 12 competition-level fields, six of which are combined with competition-level trap fields. The five-stand is represented by one field. A voice release system is installed for both trap and skeet. The fields are illuminated, allowing shooting in the evening on Thursdays.
The range offers rental shotguns in 12, 20, and 28 gauge, as well as sells ammunition on-site. There is a pro shop and snack bar. The staff is certified NRA instructors: basic training is available upon request, and an introductory trap shooting course is held on the third Saturday of each month. The facility has 28 camper sites with partial hookups, showers with laundry facilities, a covered pavilion with a sound system, and four gazebos with grills. The range regularly hosts regional and national competitions, including US Open and US Juniors level tournaments, as well as corporate and military events. In 2021, the facility was awarded one of the top three large clubs of the year by the National Skeet Shooting Association (NSSA).
