About

The Centre National de Tir Sportif (CNTS) is located in Déols near Châteauroux (Indre department, France) and serves as the main shooting complex for the French Shooting Federation (FFTir). Opened in 2018 on approximately 89 hectares of a former military camp, it encompasses all twelve disciplines governed by FFTir and meets the highest international standards set by the ISSF.

Trap shooting is represented by five stands where Olympic trap and skeet events are held. This is where the clay shooting competitions for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris will take place. The stands are covered with synthetic turf and equipped with a lead collection system. Access to the stands is open to FFTir licensees, members of the Ball Trap Federation (FFBT), and holders of hunting licenses.

In addition to trap shooting, the complex features indoor and outdoor ranges at distances of 10, 25, 50, 200, and 600 meters—totaling 220 lines for Olympic disciplines. Since 2022, a separate 'final' range has been operational, modular for distances of 10, 25, and 50 meters. The facility also includes areas for crossbow, benchrest, standard firearm shooting, and tactical shooting.

Access to the infrastructure is strictly by prior appointment, in groups of two shooters. Light refreshments are provided for shooters and their companions. The complex is fully accessible for individuals with disabilities. CNTS regularly hosts French, European, and World Championships, and serves as a training base for national teams.
